Acer Chromebook: making deployment easier with Zero-Touch Enrollment for schools

Are you looking for the easiest way to enroll your devices into your school network? Do you want to lighten the burden of your IT management, but you don’t know where to start?  Equip your students and teachers with Chrome OS devices, such as Acer Chromebook, and let zero-touch enrollment answer all these questions.

Why choose Chrome Os zero-touch enrollment

Zero-touch enrollment empowers IT managers with a resourceful medium to administrate the users’ management and security on new devices without even having to touch them.

To begin with, your school devices will be really ready out of the box. That means no more extra time needed for manual configuration.

As a matter of fact, with zero-touch enrollment, your Acer Chromebooks will automatically enroll into the school domain as soon as the teacher or student connects to the internet.

What’s more, Chrome OS is built with security in mind. Hardware-backed attestation secures the identity of each device – in our case, Acer Chromebook – and prevents attackers from spoofing devices. In other words, your network and data will always be protected.

How it works

The first step would be purchasing one or more devices that support zero-touch enrollment from a service partner, and request for it to be pre-provisioned for zero-touch enrollment.

Subsequently, a pre-provisioning token is generated in the Google Admin Console, which the service partner will need for registering the device with Google. Following this step, the devices are drop-shipped directly to the end-users.

What’s next? As we mentioned above, users are just one login away from being enabled to use their Chrome OS devices. They will simply need to power on their new laptop and connect it to WiFi. As soon as Google confirms the device’s identity for security, it automatically enrolls into the school domain, and the teacher or student can finally log in.

See? Equipping your school with Acer Chromebook and enrolling them into your domain is now easier, faster and more secure than ever.
