Google Forms Quiz and locked mode
Google Forms lends itself to multiple exciting uses, especially in terms of classroom management. For example, do you regularly use Forms for classroom tests? If you want to save time grading, you should definitely turn your Form into a Quiz.
Since answers given by students aren’t automatically validated or marked, all you have to do is open a new Form and dive into the settings. Select the option “Make this a quiz”. This will allow you to set up a few more options, such as whether the mark for the quiz is released straight after each submission or later after manual review.
What remains to be done is to make sure you set up an answer key and give points to each question. Moreover, you can also add a feedback option for your students.
Before you leave, don’t forget you can also enable the locked mode. By locking down a quiz, you’ll make sure your pupils won’t open other tabs or windows while taking the test to cheat or find the answers. Please note: this feature works only for domains with managed Chromebooks.
