Introducing 3 new Acer x Intel® Skills for Innovation Start Packs
Here are the three Acer x Intel® SFI Starter Packs that are now available on the SFI portal for download:
- Durability by design
- Screen Sense
- Optimize, Design and Minimize

Now, let’s take a closer look at the content of each starter pack – all three are related to one specific subject.
1. Physics – Durability by design
First, learners will design a ruggedized laptop, and then simulate tests with Autodesk Fusion 360 to ensure it can endure tough conditions. All while maintaining top performance and reliability.
2. Science – Screen Sense
Second, students will discover how prolonged screen time impacts health. They will use Python and Google Colab to experiment with different settings for healthier habits and create an educational poster to promote these practices.
3. Math: Optimize, Design, and Minimize
Finally, the class will understand the principles of packaging design, use linear programming to optimize material usage. Meanwhile, they’ll leverage CAD tools to design efficient packaging, reduce waste, and improve sustainability.
